I'm still here

I really have been doing stuff even though I haven't been posting. I think that I mentioned the MBA fair I went to, but I haven't been keeping you up to date on my exercise. I've walked 2.5 miles in an hour on two different occasions. At that rate, it takes 2 or 3 weeks to lose a pound, so I am trying to watch my weight, too. Last time I held a professional job (early 90's), I looked my best when I was a 10, but a 12 wouldn't be bad. Today, I went to a vocational school. Even though I have a a MSIE and a BEE, they are so old that I feel so obsolete. I'm still pretty handy with a computer, but I last worked as an engineer back in the days when cell phones were the size of a shoebox and bolted in the car trunk. I'm not sure I really need a certificate, but at it get me out of the house, using my head, and interacting with people. Plus, the certificate won't have a date from some time back in the last millennium. My degrees from the 80's make me feel old just looking at them.

BTW, every time I walk, I post the details on a spreadsheet, so sometime, I will post those numbers here, unless I decide it's not necessary.

Short post

i did a mile in 20 minutes on the treadmill.

Did other stuff, but I don't really remember. Oh Yeah, pulled weeds in the yard and went grocery shopping. Picked up a book at the library. But, I could have done all that in an hour. Don't know what happened to the rest of the day.

hey, it's before noon

still kinda slow getting started. I've actually been up for a couple of hours....

I've had my coffee, taken out the trash (garbage day), and retrieved my newspaper. It's rainy, so I didn't read it on the deck. Just sort of glanced at it.

I got my siphon working. I have a dehumidifor in the basement and I got tired of dumping it, so I hooked up a hose, but to get out of the basement, it had to go up and over the windowsill. I've been messing with it for a couple of weeks, and I finally got it working.

I's 1:50 pm. I've drunk my coffee, read my newspaper on the back deck, and worked out on the treadmill. I have a spreadsheet where I keep track of my treadmill work, I'll post the results when I'm done for the day.

Now I should bathe, later I can update my profile on LinkedIn and my Resume on this computer.

Hmm, the posting times don't match with reality. It is currently 1:54. I need to fix that after my shower.

Shower:2:10

Resume: yuck, i imported it into word and the formatting is all messed up, so I'm stuck with using the text file a little while longer. When it starts to look decent, I'll post it here.

LinkedIn: didn't do it

Shower is a daily MustDo. Here are some more:

PayBills: okay, just paid out hundreds of dollars

ApplyForJob: didn't do it, i need to though, cause they expect me to do it three days a week, minimum

I did go to an MBA fair. That was interesting. If I can afford to go to school part time and work partime, that would be cool.

oh, yeah, treadmill:

Date Minutes MaxSpeed Distance Cals Fat Cals points CumPts CumCal CumFCal
3/17 44 2.10 1.05 210.00 65.6 0.50 0.50
This is my real first post. My intentions here are to post something daily. It will be sort of like Bridget Jones, and a little like something more intelligent. I will track my exercise, calories, and yardwork, as well as whenever I get around to taking my bath, eating my lunch, and paying my bills. These are things that should happen daily, and they should happen promptly, but I'm afraid they don't.

Frist Post !!!!

Yes, that's a slashdot meme. I've never used it there, but hey, this is my blog and this is my first post so it's a great way to start out.
